Our material - Polyester

Polyester had its first heyday in the ‘70s... “Think” knitted tracksuits from the ‘70s, when it became the notorious fabric that gave the polyester the reputation that it in many ways, still has today: a non-breathable material.

But today polyester is very different. It is a fiber that has been developed and refined as well as supplemented with properties that you don’t get in other materials. Polyester is a man-made fiber that can be developed and manipulated just as we want it... Therefore, it is also the most widely used fiber for high performance clothing today.

Sustainable solution

D/H's choice, for a more sustainable solution

For many of our sustainable styles, we have focused on the use of recycled polyester. It's a material that has been recycled from used materials. The most common source of raw materials for recycled polyester is old PET bottles and raw material waste from manufacturing industry.

We give you four reasons, of why it's something we have chosen to focus on:

1. It lessens our dependence on petroleum as a source of raw materials.

2. It requires 33% to 53% less energy than virgin fibers.

3. It keeps bottles out of the landfills.

4. It is recyclable.
